What is Life Coaching?

I often get asked ‘what is life coaching’? People wonder how it is different from counselling or mentoring. A life coach believes everyone has the ability to discover their own way forward, but as humans we often get stuck and repeat our bad habits. During our sessions we will set goals, develop plans to achieve them and consider why things may not have worked in the past. As your coach I will facilitate this process. I’m passionate about helping people solve the issues in their lives. I truly believe we can reach your goals more quickly and move you towards a better life with care, understanding and more accountability.

The Importance of Healing

To heal is life changing. Healing frees us mentally from the things that weigh us down. In order to move forward in life we need to acknowledge our challenges, learn to forgive and create space in our heart and mind for new rewarding outcomes. Healing can happen in lots of ways. I believe talking is healing, being heard is healing, giving yourself time is healing and working on yourself is healing. Surround yourself with positive people - this is healing.
Healing Does not mean the damage never existed. It means the damage no longer controls your life.

the meaning behind the

White Tiger

So why the tiger? The white tiger is an iconic symbol for many people and cultures and it also holds a special place in my own heart. It symbolises personal strength, willpower, courage and represents health, vitality and an appetite for life. The white tiger can be associated with the delicate balance of light and shadow that exists within all of us - it emphasises the need for us to understand ourselves. This is the core belief of White Tiger Wellness. It is a symbol that presented itself during times in my life, when I needed inner strength the most and for this reason I want to share it with you.

My story...

To be a life coach, I think one needs to love life, be willing to learn and be involved in the journey of other beautiful souls.  My own journey towards life coaching began a long time ago although I didn’t know it then. Being a creative person, my story began with ambition to enter the world of fashion design. I studied at the Whitehouse School of Design, accepted a coveted design job at 17 whilst continuing to study and worked for 15 years in the industry. I was the first to be married amongst my friends, the first to have children, I had a great career and a home. Life was good, so I thought, but tough times were brewing.

The next few years saw my world turn upside down, leaving me living with my parents after my marriage ended. I needed to help myself but found I was drawn to listening to other people’s stories. I wanted to help them as well. I opened up to people and then people seemed to open up to me. I was often listening to stories of individuals and parents struggling with kids or relationships and I was determined to find a way forward not only for myself but for others.

Thinking back I realise that I had always been drawn to helping others. I was the one that knew what was going on in all my work colleagues lives from upper management to the guys in the warehouse and I was genuinely passionate about wellness and people finding their way. I know so many beautiful, successful and amazing people who are insecure and struggling with their daily life and this was the turning point for me to begin a career as a professional coach. The thing I loved most during my work was communicating and helping people. Having studied Theta Healing years earlier, the next step was to study Life Coaching and learn how to share my gift and passion in a professional way. Doing this truly warms my heart and I know it’s what I was always meant to do. How I can help you.
